Planning for college and filing for financial aid can be confusing and intimidating, whether you're doing it for the first time or the ninth. For that reason, ICAN staff will meet individually with students and their families at our offices in Cedar Rapids and West Des Moines as often as they want, with absolutely no charge.
Our outreach representatives will help you:
- Plan for college success.
- Help consider which school is right for you.
- Explore career options.
- Fill out financial aid paperwork, including the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)*. See a list of documents (PDF) to bring with you.
- Receive assistance with financial aid verification.
- Review and compare award letters.
- Understand student loan options.
- Explore alternative funding for college.
- Search for scholarships.
* The FAFSA and EZ FAFSA are free forms that may be completed without professional assistance via paper and electronic forms provided by the U.S. Department of Education.
