WEST DES MOINES, IOWA (April 20, 2010) — Andy Jacobsen, Jim Haag and Melinda

College Access Network®
(ICAN) recently. Jacobsen is a counselor at Kennedy High School
in Cedar Rapids, Haag is a counselor at Garner-Hayfield in Garner and Norton is a

The ICAN Advisory Council met on Wednesday, April 14, to discuss updates to ICAN’s

“The Advisory Council has firsthand knowledge of the issues students are facing every day,”
said Juan Garcia, executive director of ICAN. “The Council’s insights and suggestions allow
us to provide quality services that families can use now as they plan for postsecondary
