MTSS Series
ICAN’s MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) Series focuses on providing school counselors with the strategies, tools, and resources needed to support students at varying levels of need in their career and college readiness journey. This training series helps counselors implement a tiered approach to interventions that support academic success, career exploration, and postsecondary planning.
Topics Covered:
- Understanding the MTSS framework and its application in career and college readiness
- Identifying students who need additional support in the career exploration process
- Providing targeted interventions and guidance for students at Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 levels
- Building individualized interventions to address specific student needs
- Coordinating services with school staff, community partners, and families
- Tracking student progress and adjusting interventions as needed
- Using data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes
This series equips counselors with a structured approach to helping students overcome barriers and achieve their career and college readiness goals, providing the support they need at every stage of their academic and postsecondary journey.
