It's time to get "On Track" with the kick-off to college planning week.

ICAN, in partnership with the Iowa Department of Education's Bureau of Iowa College Aid and the Iowa School Counselor Association (ISCA) is kicking off the 2024-25 academic year with College Planning Week - a series of events to help every Iowa high school student get started on the right foot.

High School Students/Parents

The "On Track" kick-off series features virtual events by grade level, planning resources, e-alerts, and informational pieces from our collegiate sponsors.

On Track Fall Kick-Off to College Planning - September 16-22, 2024

This week of virtual events, organized by grade level, will help high school students and parents understand their next steps and get success strategies from ICAN advisors, Iowa colleges, school counselors, and current college students.

Class of 2025 - Setup your StudentAid.gov Accounts

Join Iowa College Aid for a step by step presentation on creating your StudentAid.gov username and password (FSA ID)! Creating an account is required for all students and parent contributors and should be done at least 1-3 days before starting the FAFSA form. Students and parents are all encouraged to attend one live session!

• email address (student and parent each need their own)

Golden Circle College & Career Fair

The largest college and career fair in Iowa is scheduled for Sunday, September 22 at the Meadows Convention Center in Altoona. This event is free to all students and provides a unique opportunity to meet with both career planning experts and college and universities from across the United States.
