ICAN Welcomes New Board Members, Elects Officers
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (August 18, 2014) — The Iowa College Access Network (ICAN), a statewide nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing career and college readiness among Iowans, recently welcomed two new members to its board of directors.
Joining the Board of Directors are Tracie Pavon and Dr. Pradeep Kotamraju. “Both of our newest board members embody the ICAN mission and share a deep passion for the pursuit and attainment of higher education. We are very fortunate to have them by our side as we continue to meet the challenges facing today’s students,” said Rob Miller, ICAN executive director.
Tracie Pavon is assistant vice president for enrollment management at Simpson College, located in Indianola, Iowa. Ms. Pavon’s term will run through 2017. |
Dr. Pradeep Kotamraju is bureau chief, Career and Technical Education, for the Division of Community Colleges within the Iowa Department of Education. Dr. Kotamraju’s term will run through 2017. |
The ICAN board also elected its officers for the 2014-15 year, which included:
Board Chair – Rose Rennekamp (see photo) is the former Vice President of Communications for ACT, and has served on the ICAN board since 2011. |
Secretary – Steve McCullough (see photo) is President and CEO of Iowa Student Loan, and has served on the ICAN board since 2009. |
Treasurer – Dick Schwab (see photo) is an entrepreneur and member of the Solon Community School Board, and has served on the ICAN board since 2010. |
