ICAN Welcomes Grinnell College and Waldorf College
Support for College and Career Readiness Programming Grows Across Iowa
CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA (February 7, 2013) — The Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) is pleased to announce the addition of new members to the organization’s Partnership Program. ICAN partners with education-minded institutions and organizations to bring comprehensive college and career readiness programming and resources to students and parents across Iowa, and to support initiatives around the state that support economic growth through increased training and education.
The ICAN Partnership Program is open to any business, organization or institution with the desire to support long-term economic growth and success for Iowa communities and citizens. Partners of the program have joined together to support ICAN’s work in career and college readiness programming which is outlined in the ICAN College Access Power Plan, a suite of programs and services designed to help families better understand college and career planning, how to successfully navigate paying for college, and choosing both a college and major that are the right fit.
ICAN’s new partners include Grinnell College at the Friend of ICAN Level and Waldorf College at the Associate Level.
“For generations, Grinnell College has been committed to providing an exceptional education to some of Iowa’s most talented students,” says Jennifer Hursch, admission counselor with Grinnell College. “We are pleased to be partnering with ICAN to ensure that all students and parents in Iowa have access to the college and financial aid planning information necessary to effectively prepare for the future.”
